blown trans from torque converter?

So my transmission drove perfectly fine I just wanted to put an upgraded torque converter in especially after driving a cuatomers' truck with a low stall converter. I know their not like for racing or anything but it's a work Truck with some mods to the motor nothing crazzy. So I went ahead and bought a low stall triple disk converter and I drove around the block fine and went to go on the freeway and got into fourth but lost it as I hit 75 (was not flooring by any means and had it in the stock tune) now it will not go past second gear. Once it did this the o/d off light started to flash and I decided to do a stall test.went to 1800 in a Second. Suppose to stall around 1200-1300. I know the converter is ****ed but I think it blew my trans. Any ideas?

2000 f250 7.3 powerstroke dp chip stage 1 camshaft and 180/100 injectors coming at some point but stock for now

Pull (or have pulled) the codes that were stored when your OD light started flashing. Without those codes, you are flying blind . You can't pull the codes stored with a cheap OBD scanner.

Best thi g you can to do to the 4r100 is adding a triple clutch TC. The OP probably had a defective one or he fudged the install?

i know this is rather late but I bought converter from KT performance in looking to build up the transmission it detonated the clutch inside of it first time it went to lock up and ruined my transmission almost took them to court over the moneyfor atleast the converter. Ilthey had emailed 45 minutes after the received the package and claimed to have “cut open inspected found nothing wrong and re welded converter and tested it and found nothing wrong” not knowing I paid 5 bucks to get email confirmation on exact time my package got signed for! Provide with proof of this and won the credit card disputing but still left me without a transmission. I ended up doing a manual swap couldn’t of been happier to be honest after that

When i was looking for a good triple disk TQ I ran across this on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/151544626616 by a place called Precision of New Hampshire. I went to there website and found a place close, hr away, that uses these guys for over 6 yrs they told me. The owner was telling me the returns from problem are real low.. like 1 in a 100 he would guess.

They are a bit more expensive than the other cheaper units and you can get the low stall unit as well..

seems like a good unit for the money.

I installed 4 Torco triple disc low stall TC's, 1 in my E40D and the others in 4r100 at work they have held up great to the abuse, if money isn't an issue a billet TD low stall TC from any of the known tranny builders would of been my first choice.
