Hello everyone! I am recently the proud owner of a 1999 F350 Ext Cab Dually. My father has owned the truck since 34 miles and now it has 260,XXX. The truck went down about two years ago. He went to start it and it melted the pigtail on the drivers-side for the Valve Cover Injector/Glow Plug Harness. The injectors were also bad so it has been sitting for about two years. I recently purchased some stage 3 Hybrid 205cc/100% injectors and all new glow plugs. Also new harness and gaskets for each side and a new pig tail which has been soldered and heat shrinked in. Everything is back together. Sucked all of the oil out of the cylinders. Fuel looks good. Cleaned out the fuel bowl pretty well. Replaced all of the coolant, oil and the filter, and the fuel filter. Two brand new batteries. I have a TS 6 tuned by PHP with for the new single shot injectors. Either way I've heard the engine will run with the injectors without the tune just crappy or at least start. I've tried starting the engine with the tune and without. It cranks fine but won't start. I've relaxed the CPS just to be safe. Still nothing. IPR valve should be fine but going to put one I know is good on it tomorrow to test it.. Just can't get the dang thing to start up. A lot of sentimental value in this truck to me. I'm dying to get it going again! Any help would be much appreciated! My friend that has a 2011 4BT swapped Ranger has been helping me. He used to have a 7.3 so he knows a little. He thinks I need a diagnostic scanner hooked up to do a buzz test to check it out. I agree that would make life easier but getting ahold of one can be difficult. So I'm trying to troubleshoot without one. PLEASE HELP!!!
