Think my injectors are going
I went to start my truck the other day and it just cranked for about 30 seconds and didnt start. I stopped cranking and then tried again and it fired up with a lot of white smoke. I had been having a hard time starting in the cold but i have one glow plug showing 7ohms of resistance so i had figured it was the glow plugs but this happened with it being around 70 degrees out. And the next day it didnt start up to well either. After driving it some it starts no problem but it does smell a bit rich running but that could be just me reading into it to much. The truck had been sitting for a week. It is a 01 7.3 with 190k with an edge programer on it. Do you think the injectors are going or maybe something else? If it is the injectors whats a good deal as for value for money i dont want some cheap junk. I have been looking at rifffaff web site so far and there full force diesel injector stock rebuilt. Are they any good? Thanks.

Does plugging your truck in for a few hours first help it start easier? You can also pull the valve covers off and have someone crank the engine while cold and see if all the injectors are spitting oil. If not all of them are, or are not spitting the same, but they all start to look the same after the engine warms up, that is a sign of worn injectors.
Oil bubbling up from the base of the injectors or oil stains in the fuel filter bowl are a sign of bad injector o-rings.
Ryan Casserly at Full Force Diesel has an excellent reputation for building injectors. Definitely not junk if you go with Full Force.
