1967 F100 auto trans speedometer cable drive gear replacement

Hi all.
Replaced my speedo cable, as the old one had burned on the exhaust.
Connected new cable to the transmission and speedometer.
Test drive proved no needle movement.
Disconnected at the speedometer, test drive with my finger on the cable while moving, cable does not spin.
I tried searching online documents for my right side tailshaft schematic without luck.
My cable has no driven gear clipped to the transmission end.
How do I remove the cable driven gear from the tailshaft?
Thank you.

DRIVEN speedo gear, retained by a clip to the cable.

DRIVE speedo gear located on output shaft of A/T & M/T transmission.

Again, no drive(n) gear clipped to the speedometer cable.
It is a bare cable end with no provision for a clip.
How is the gear held in the tailshaft?
Snap ring?
Gravity?

Gear slips onto cable and clip holds gear to cable. Cable should have a retainer that is bolted to tailhousing

Speedo DRIVE gear - 1967 F100 A/T: What size is the engine?

Woven steel core fits inside speedometer cable and housing, clip retains nylon DRIVEN gear to the end of the cable.

C1DZ-17292-A (replaced C1DD-17292-A) .. DRIVEN Speedometer Gear Retaining Clip = C Type / Obsolete ~ 100's available NOS

1967/69 F100/350 3 M/T; 3 M/T with O/D; C4 & MX C-O-M (1967); T-18 & NP 435 4 speeds.

Myriad 1961/80's Passenger Cars and etc.

That is not my setup.
I have a 352/auto (c4?)
Mine is on the passenger side.
I have a round ****/nut captured by the cable to screw into the trans.
No retainer flange or bolt.
I will take a pic/check trans. tonight.

Only sorta similar setup I found. No trans brake on mine.
I assume I unscrew 17269 (a seperate fitting where the cable attaches) to get to the gear

MX Cruise-O-Matic (aka "Big Cruise-O"): 1965/67 F100/350 352 / 1965/72 F350 300 I-6.

Same picture, the 2614 parking brake drum only used on F350's.

17285 is the DRIVE gear, 17322 is a steel DRIVEN gear, but some have a nylon DRIVEN gear, as it depends on the application.

17269 is the speedo DRIVEN gear bearing: 1966/67 F100/250 352 with MX Cruise-O-Matic.

Ok. Fixed.
It is the MX trans with the steel driven gear.
Needed to unscrew 17269 to pull the gear.
It was good, reinserted it, attached the bearing/sleeve, then the cable, which I pulled all the slack to me at the trans.
All good. Now I know the old truck settles in at 70 on the interstate.
Thanks all.
