Not to mention the 6.0 LIKES to be driven hard. Drive it like you stole it on occasion and it will be happy.

I know, but the whistle gets so sharp at 15lbs and i feel as if i push much harder there will be tranny issues

The torqshift transmission is probably the part with the best reputation in that entire truck...

Mine has 220k hard miles on it, about 70k of those with a bully dog tuner torturing it and the only transmission issue I ever had was the temp sending unit went out.

The torqshift has been know to take 500hp with just a aftermarket TC. That's the last part of the 6.0 I'd be worried about. I've got a 04 single cab 2wd that I did heads and a full bulletproof on. Just haven't had time to get it all back together.

When I bought my excursion a few years ago, it already had the lift and what not, but the abs light was on when I first test drove it. The next day, they replaced the torque converter and the light went out. And that was at 147k miles

So would it be more cost effective to put one of those transmissions in an obs instead of bandaiding the e4od?

Considering the fact that it's not common, it probably isn't worth it but it's a question I thought of

I dont think it would be worth the hassle. The 5r110 wasn't designed to talk to the 7.3.

You would be around the price of a new 6.7 by time you did the swap and has software built

I actually just built a 6.7 online. Came out to like 62k lol

I figured it would be stupid expensive. I was just curious.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled program
