In the uk they all use 2.8 desiels they do a true figure of 17 pg when loaded and when they get to a hill they nearly stop i **** past them in our truck and i never go below 75mph .i try to tell them i get 9mpg but they wont have it as there little sad campers only do 17 and they are nailing them haha you guys have some **** hot trucks and cars ,dont complain about fuel if it worries you that much get a bike, my mate in a fiesta gets 47 mpg but his friend only gets 45 so what 2 miles aint worth a toss
a member from across the pond. welcome to the site mate. hope you have read the guide lines on posting so you don't do what i did . get the webmaster mad at you.
you will find in this area we love our v10's even if they are hard on gas. again welcome put your 2 pence in and have some fun with us
Ya i stopped by a local dealer and checked out a used KR and of course a sales rep came over and wife told him we're just goign to order the truck we want. He asked about it and i mentioned V-10 and he's like good motor's just sucks the gas. Looked over to him and asked him to show me a Hybrid SD. Cause less they've started making them there isn't a Full size truck that's going to get superb milage.
hi i didnt mean to affend anyone but reading the threads there seems a lot of talk about fuel
Nah. You're not gonna offend anybody around here!
Welcome and have fun! To be honest I didn't even realize V10 Superduties were available in the UK but I'm glad to hear they are. Everybody should be able to have a BSEG!!
Are there alot of them? How about other 3/4 and 1 ton pickups...like maybe GM 8.1Ls etc??
Welcome! And, honesty always hacks off someone. Good site with good people and information. Weed out the bragging and phoney opinions and use what you can. I'm always in trouble so don't feel alone.
$7 a gallon! $2.18 in the "Red State" of Kansas is a real deal. Yeah, right. Anybody know our national energy policy that was formed in secrecy?? Can't get a response from big Dick Cheney. Ah, have a big V-10 expect to feed it big, right?
It didn't bother me a bit. Truth hurts, though, I reckon.
But, still, I must say, that once while on a trip across country I actually got around 15 MPG. Bad thing was after I'd coasted to the bottom of each hill I had to crank it back up and drive up another...

Check out GM's hybrid pick-up, it's not a SD granted, but it's mileage is,,,uh,,,"what was that GM ? Within 5% of th non-hybrid ? And what ??? ,,,,,,,,,sales are ??,,,,,, oh, NOT good, I thought you said sales were THAT good". AHAHAHAHAHA, Ford's hydraulic start assist looks like a good thing for HD trucks, I wonder if it will make it to production, Ken
