FYI, installing a backup camera

I just finished installing my new backup camera with a Kenwood head unit. There is a lot of bad info about where to connect the reverse camera wire from the back of the unit, so I thought I would post a pic. It's the black with pink tracer under the master cylinder. Not the one in the cab under the dash. It is shown in the picture with the red connector attached to it.

each truck apparently is different. that wire on my 02 is a ground, just like the one in the column and the one under the dash everyone says will work. .

i ran a wire from the back of the truck up to the unit.

It doesn't make sense. The wire I used is the same wire that goes back to the reverse lights. It may be that there are different black and pink wires in that area.

there are 5 or 6 black/pink wires in these trucks.
