1994 F150 4x4 33x12.50

I have a couple questions as I'm due for tires big time. My front is two inches lower than the rear, 21 inches from center of hub to fender in the front, 23 inches in the rear.

1. If I put the moog springs up front to level it out with the rear, would I need to get an alignment?

2. If I go with a 15x10 wheel, anyone familiar with the backspacing required to get the tires out a bit? I'll be running 33x12.50s I'm going with steel wheels, just not sure on the required backspacing yet.

3. If I do get the 15x10 with the 33x12.50s, will I have any clearance issues if I level the truck out with the moog springs? I'm assuming this would also depend on the backspacing of the wheel.

Feel free to post some pics of a similar setup if y'all have any.

I ended up getting some 33x12.50x15 tires on some 15x10 pro comp steel wheels with 3.75" backspacing. They fit well, a bit of scrubbing on the top fenders if I go a bit too fast over some bumps offroad, but nothing major. I had to take the front bumper off at the tire shop to get it home though! I need to either space the bumper out or trim it. Thanks for the info.

Sound like you are in need for a new set of springs to get back to stock height. I tried to level out an 84 F150 that I had after breaking a spring. It looked good until it started wearing the outside edges of the tires. It threw the camber off past the point of adjusting back within spec. I ended up going back to stock height springs. Hopefully here is a pic of a 94 Bronco I had with 33's. The bumper is spaced out and in doing so made room for mounting a pair of KC's.

Based off of that picture, I had to space my bumper out alot more than you did. I spaced it out probably an inch and a half, and I'm still cutting it way close - too close for comfort.

I'm going to put some moog cc844 springs on there to help level it out and lift the front end up just a tad. Not sure what springs are on it now but they don't look stock. Not sure how old they are either so they may be sagging.

Are you saying after you put the longer springs up front it started to wearing the outside of your tires and threw off your alignment? The springs that you used, were they lift springs or some f250 springs?

They were F150 coils for heavy duty application. If I remember correctly, they were for the heaviest engine option plus snow plow, but this was almost 30 years ago. It looked good, but with the TTB front suspension, it can throw the camber off pretty quickly since the axle housing are pivoting on the drop brackets. They make a 2-1/2" drop bracket for leveling I believe. At the time it was cheaper for me to go back to a lower rate spring than get the new brackets.

Check and see what the offset is on the rims you are wanting to get, the more negative offset the further it will push the tire outside the fender. If you are wanting that big of a tire you are going to need to raise up the front end. I put a 2" spring kit on mine and it leveled it out and apparently I can run 33's but 12.5 will be pushing it to not rub on the inside.
