Hi there - so weeks later, got actuator rod replaced and also key lock cylinder. Trying to put all together now and these two little metal shims fall out. I have an old pic showing them under the turn signal side but maybe they were already halfway falling out? Are they contacts? Anyone know where they go?

 

Been too long since I took a truck apart like that... Probably could look up a Haynes Manual (which is what I did when I dug into a new project for the first time)

 

Its been a while for me too. But I think they would be part of the turn signal cam. The white plastic part on the left side of you pic. I think they are contacts for the signals. Maybe where the two wires are riveted to the white plastic. Its been a while and usually I'm a blue smoothie or two in.....or three or five.

 

Not sure what year, looks older, you are working on but I moved you from 6.7 to SuperDuty.
