My cancel cam broke last year so I took it out and didn't have time to put the new one in. While out I had no taillights/brake lights. I put the new camback in last weekend and now I have taillights but still no brake lights or turn signals.

I checked the fuses and one was burnt so I replaced it and I have tried a new flasher but still no go. Hazards work but only to the front not the back. I wasn't using my multimeter correctly so I am not sure about power through the turn signal flasher.

Everything I have read says turn signal switch but that is only available through LMC and if I can fix it without going that way of course I would prefer it.

Any ideas would be great.

RockAuto has the switch, albeit a little spendy. Tilt or no-tilt?

Y'know, I have a switch at home somewhere (oh snap, where is it?). Didn't fit my '85 because of the angle in which the signal lever arm screws in, doesn't match the column. I think I was just sloppy about what part I ordered. I wonder if this one would fit yours. I'll let you know if I find it.

 

It's a tilt column that's why I'm having issues. No one but LMC does the tilt switch. Also I live in Canada so exchange and freight suck right now. Let me know which one you have and maybe we can figure something out.

Your local Ford dealer doesn't have/can't get one?

 

I never even thought to check with the dealer. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.
