95 f150 5.0 spark plug replacement
I'm going to be ordering motocraft plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor and coil today from rockauto, and I'm wondering if there's any issues I might run into when changing the plugs on my 95 302? And what plugs should I get; copper or platinum? Should I let the engine warm up before attempting to remove the spark plugs?

95 f150 5.0 spark plug replacement
Just curious, how often should the coil be replaced? I believe the coil on the truck is original with 314,000 kilometers. Should I replace anything else with this kind of mileage on the engine or just wait for a cel? I'm trying to keep this truck running as good as possible for as long as possible

I would warm the engine up for a minute or two. Not to full operating temp but just a little warm to the touch and spray the spark plugs with a penetrating fluid. And then let it sit for a few minutes. Just go with standard copper core plugs these trucks don't need the fancy platinum plugs. And I replaced the coil on my 95 right around 200,000 miles which I believe is close to the km you are approaching. However, it want because it quit working I simply broke it changing the coil wire that was stuck on it.

Get the regular motorcraft copper. These engines don't really like fancy plugs.
No real problems changing them - some of them are a PITA to get to. I found it easier to reach the ones closest to the firewall from underneath the truck.
I just replaced my coil after 196k miles - don't even think it really needed it but was doing a similar tune up and figured what the hell.
Things I would worry about on these trucks - vacuum lines and ground connection. Those seem to cause a lot of problems that can be fixed quickly and easily.

I had no big issues doing my plugs and wires, just be careful of the hard vacuum lines- i bumped some and they broke, so I ended up replacing them.
As far as plugs I have big hands so it was just difficult on some plugs getting them aligned with the holes perfect due to the size of my fingers.
