2014 F250 dash warning lights going crazy..help!

I need some help! I've had the truck for almost a year. It had 2900mi when I bought it. It's got 18k on it now. A few weeks ago I stopped to get the mail and the dash started going crazy throwing every warning you could think of. I got back in and all the codes were gone. I figured it was a fluke until last week. It did it again. I let it run for a few minutes and decided to turn it off. It wouldn't start back up right away. After about 20min, it started and I drove straight to the dealer.
They had it for 2 days, cleared all the codes and couldn't replicate it. They said the codes were U codes and not real codes?? The next morning it did the same thing again. I took it back and after 3 days, they said they could only think that my AMP Powersteps were the cause. They disconnected the steps and wanted to keep it for a few more days. I said no and picked it back up. It made it 2 days and I got the codes again.

Has anyone ever heard of this or experienced it? I've attached a video of the messages.

There's a large harness connection mounted on the parking brake bracket. The connection comes loose from the vibration of using the parking brake. Almost every case simply pushing the connection back together and moving the harness off the parking brake bracket solves the issue. Take it to the dealer and have them do it. The more this issue gets turned in the better it will be for everyone.

Look at thread "pcm relay truck won't start" in the 6.2 section. My phone won't copy the link but its on the 1st page. Pull that thread up for the dealer. Pulling the harness apart will recreate the problem for sure if needed. Once you push the harness together it will be good for awhile which is the reason to let the dealer see it first. Pretty common issue anymore.

The fix outlined above cured the same problem on the 2013 I drive. I did it myself, as the truck is way over miles for warranty. Hasn't acted up in 6 months & 17,000 miles.

Hi crat996,

I'll be happy to get this pushed up the chain to your regional customer service manager. Since you don't have many posts, you may not have the ability to PM. If that's the case, send an email to custserv@ford.com with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. This email address is not monitored, so be sure to put my name ("Crystal") in the subject line and post here once you've sent it. That's how I'll know to go and hunt down your message.

Crystal

the same thing is happening to my truck it’s done it twice once while I was driving and once hook in my trailer. Have you gotten any more information. I probably take it to dealer but they are going to tell me the same thing. I think is a loose connection. Try to check all your harnesses.

This thread is 5 years old.

If you are experiencing the same problem, most of the time it's the plug mounted above the parking brake as described above.
