What Oil to use for early 99' 7.3?

JoeRod85224
I have questions about motor oil, oil additives and will appreciate your help.
Keep in mind my 1999 F-550 has a 7.3 Power Stroke, is an early 1999 ( Built 06-98) with 148,000 mls. I'm a full time RVr and tow a 6,000 lb Fifth Wheel RV.
Can I use Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40, API SERVICE CJ-4, CI-4, CI-4 PLUS. Owner's Guide API Spec: CG4/SH
Can I also use Lucas Pure Synthetic Oil Stabilizer and how many quarts should I add on each oil change?
The cost of oil changes are hurting my limited income and any advise to a lesser cost will help. Engine is do for oil change and your prompt response is greatly appreciated.
Thank you all.
Joseph.

I was in the lubricants industry for 23 years, any name brand 15w40 will do. Delvac is a good product. You don't need synthetic. In fact almost nobody does.

Thank you for such prompt response to my Delvac oil question.

** Because my F-550 weights 10,000 lbs and mostly drive it towing my 6,ooo lbs RV. Should I add 1 Qrt of Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer to improve lubrication? I read one member's posting advising that Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer causes injectors to foam!! Is is true?
What additive is recommend to help injectors' performance and increase lubrication?
Joseph.

Fuel system additives are different from lubricants additives. You do not need to add anything to Delvac 1300 motor oil. Shell Rotella is also a major brand widely used in commercial applications.

You have to understand that there are only a few major additive companies and only a few major base oil suppliers. This is a very competitive industry. If they could make the product better they would, and we would have a new updated spec.

Change it on schedule, pay attention to the cooling system, buy clean fuel from a reputable source, and go work and add to our economy

As a side note, IMHO, quality diesel fuel filtration is better for injectors than most treatments are.

The following is my personal opinion and reply to you. Once again I thank you for your fast responce and advise. This is not a political message, but simply for you to learn a little about me... I retired from Law Enforcement, but only for a very short time as I rejoined the work force. I own a small house (Home Base) which I leased out while I continue my travel adventures. I am a blessed man to be employed, able to travel and live on the greatest country on earth. I currently work for a nation wide security firm which keeps me employed as I travel state to state. Where else on earth can a Legal Migrant achieve one's desires to work, plan one's retirement wishes and be blessed to accomplish it? When I had a 7.3 I always used motorcraft because wal mart had the 5 quart jugs for cheaper than a gallon jug of rotella. In my Kenworth I use Mobil delvac synthetic because I get it for $8.95 per gallon through our supplier. As mentioned above, any name brand oil is going to work, so go with whatever you can get at the best price.
