83 F100 Starting issues

I am having starting issues on my 83 F100 with the inline 6.

I have replaced ignition module ( replaced 3 months ago ), distributor cap, distributor rotor and rebuilt the carb. Truck cranks but does not turn over. Fuel does come out of hte lines when trying to start.

When doing a spark test off the new distributor, we get 1 spark only..then when I stop cranking, 1 more spark. Off the old distributor, I get more spark.

When I test spark off the ignition coil, I get a continuous white spark.

Bad coil?

What about the pickup inside the dist? I think there is a test procedure for it somewhere.

Static test for the DSII distributor pickup is to ohm between the orange and purple wires.

450-950 ohms IIRC.

The factory procedure was posted online.
Unfortunately that bumpwiki page is now 404.

But said in his/her first post he/she use 2 different dist.
1st his old one and then a new (guess to him) one and had about the same results.

Could maybe be a bad wire between dist. plug and IGN box plug all on the truck side so the signal is not going to the box from dist.
