Lean codes

I have a P-0171(bank 1) and a P-0174(bank 2)

04 ranger 4.0 5sped 4wd 178k

I just changed the oil yesterday, drove to work today, then when i went to leave the CEL came on. Came home and this is what I have.

I thought I may have bumped an 02 sensor but I just got under the truck and checked, everything looks ok.

Check MAF sensor and plumbing, it all looks good

Also, I have a Snap-on M2500 scanner but my cart rude only goes to 99 so I lied to it and said the truck was a 99.

anything else I should be looking at?

I cleared the codes, wondering if the rain got somewhere it shouldn't of

Question Mazda

Hey sorry about this but i cannot figure out how to make a folder thing but

i have a 1997 Mazda B4000 SE with 97,075 miles and here is a list of the symptoms i have been having:

(In "N" or "P" it runs good, When the brake is applied or i let off the Gas the truck starts to stumble and stall, It is Running a P0171, P0174 codes, Idols perfect when engine is cold, And i don't know if this is a related symptom but my rpm needle only goes to about 3000 rpm at the floor.)

Here is a list of what i Have done already:

(New Bosch plat. +4 plugs, New NGK Plug wires, New K&N air filter, New MAF sensor, New Fuel Filter, New Exhaust, New Radiator cap, New throttle Body, Clean/ Replaced IAC, New 02 Sensors, Replace fuel vapor canister/Lines/Solenoid, Changed To Royal Purple 10w/30 Oil And Royal Purple Filter, Cherry Bomb Extreme Muffler, Radiator flush, Changed Front & rear Diff. Fluid, Changed Trans Fluid and filter, RE-greased/Packed manual locking 4x4 hubs, Had a vacuum check done all well.)

Any thoughts on what is causing my probs is greatly appreciated

Thanks, Josh

The PVC hose assembly, in particular the elbow, is a common source of lean codes on the 4.0L SOHC. See:

Lean codes on a '97 4.0L OHV are often caused by a failed fuel supply manifold gasket.
