New oil leak

Looks like I have a oil leak that has just started. I'm finding 50cent size spots on the driveway. It's on the passengers side. I have not checked into it yet only because we're having that big snow storm that hit the east cost at the moment and its been colder than one likes here on Cape Cod, we're going south next Saturday. I'm hoping it's a valve cover gasket. I looked quick at the cover. It looks like it a so so job. Anyone done one lately?

It started snowing around noon. Here in Hyannis the wind is gusting to 50 MPH at times! We're a mile from the harbor so you really feel it near the ocean! No outdoor repairs today!

I should not ever complain about the weather here!

Most of all, be safe you guys.

The truck can wait for nicer weather.

That much snow on the Cape from this last storm? I am in northeastern CT and we only got like 4-5 inches.

As soon as you can get under it without getting totally covered in snow, I'd take a closer look around. I wouldn't think a VC gasket would cause drips on the ground. Burning oil smell on the exhaust manifolds, and it may run all the way down the side of the block. Its a possibility, I suppose.

Isn't there a harness that runs through the VC gasket on a 7.3?

Your right about the VC gaskets. Have not looked at anything yet too cold and snowy to get under the truck. Those pics are from previous storms. 2011 and 2013 I think. They were more for our Hawaiian chapter! The Cape got spotty amounts. I think Sandwich got 16' and here in Hyannis we got about 10"
