I caught some of the tail end of the on-going fracas even after Keith departed and formed Fordification. . Keith posted an open letter in mid-2010 challenging some of the so-called expertise purported by another old timer who apparently has never turned a real wrench. That person shall remain nameless.

Keith had some valid points and which still applies today. All this is backed up by background from the FTE mods which sure as heck shed light on the who-what-why on the whole situation.

I found Fordification first. I read his rant which led me to this place. From what I can recall, he was kicked out after he started Fordification, started soliciting folks from here to go to his site and wouldn't stop after a number of warnings. But then again, I have CRS so you can't rely on what I say.

That's my understanding too... But there were also side issues as I noted above.

The hatchet was never buried between Keith and "That Guy"...... but I know where it was intended to be placed!

The owner of this site at that time was very protective of it, and didn't take too kindly to the recruitment efforts for Fordification.
I used to be a member on there, but wound up sticking with this site instead.

It's too bad they didn't work that out. I'm a member of both sites and the Explorer one too. All of them have such a vast wealth of knowledge, and people just waiting to help you out of a jam.

I was here maybe when there was only 50 members and about the 67 truck that Payne had. I am aware of the debate with Payne.

It was slow here back when I joined. That is why I didn't come around much. I was more interested in Ford-diesel.com as I had just owned a few superduties back then. I remember all the punches being thrown after the big blowout. I'd have to go look and see when I joined Fordification.

I give Keith credit as I think Fordification is THE bump site for information(factory stuff) all in one place. When I parted out my '67 a few years back I put it on there. It went quick. I don't think I could get the exposure here like I did there.

I'm signed on to a few sites that "overlap". Sometimes you have to pick one that best suits your needs for the project at hand.

I obviously was not here yet. But from what you gentlemen are saying it sounds like it was worse than what must have happened between Bill Gates and Paul Allen.

Well, sort of. Keith did have an entity he started and was willing to share it all with FTE but the Adm. didn't want anything to do with it, hence the fued. Had the un named Adm. been willing to have a sit down with Keith, all of the great Fordification info would be part of this site.
Myself and many others drifted over there with him and I didn't come back here until I got into older trucks and that Adm. was gone. Fordification is a great source for info but many of us original members there drifted away when it got too big and snot nosed disrespectful kids took over the forums and Keith didn't have the huevos to bring them into check.
