Looking to buy

Happy New Years guys. I am starting off the new year looking for rad support for my Mercury 250 it's a 1966. Rotted beyond rebuild can any body lead me to one for sale. As I understand the 66 year style has no reproduction. Thanks for any help. I guess I should elaborate on what exactly I am looking for and that is the whole rad support behind the grill and headlights.

Nose: I seem to recall reading on slick60s that the '65 repop can be used, but requires you to drill out some spot welds on your support and re-use the flanges that the inner fenders bolt to?

Probably still less work that patching up most of the supports from anything local

I recently got my rad support from LMC Truck, but it was for a '65. There is a Dennis Carpenter reseller near you in Stony Plain, George Moir Antique Auto Parts (georgemoir.ca) and this is where I bought my '65 fenders, cab mounts, floor pans etc. You might want to give them a call.

If the top section is any good, you can weld on the bottom part of the '65 style reproduction to fix the rust.

Copied from our build thread:

Couldn't find a decent radiator support so we ordered a reproduction and used the bottom half to repair the original RS.

Marking the cut lines.

Cuts cleaned up, making a template using masking tape.

Took measurments of various points so we could align the template, then stuck it on and sprayed silver paint to mark the cut line on the new RS.

Initial fit up of the two pieces.

After final fitting, welding, and smoothing the welds. Really surprised at how well the two pieces fit together.
