Would you buy it?

https://lancaster.craigslist.org/cto/5365016242.html I found this for sale and im seriously considering going to look at it. I have zero experience with the I6's. I know there are very good motors. but any ideas on the rough idle situation with it? Any ideas at all?

Read up on the duraspark II conversions on these I6 trucks. A rough idle could be lots of things, very simple or more complicated.

The engine components such as intake, air cleaner, ignition, etc. look stock - this engine appears to be unmolested (not hacked up/modified). That is good, in my opinion.

Rough idle can be caused by so many different things that it is hard to speculate! Probably just poor running due to neglected ignition components and/or carburetor. If the truck starts up and runs down the road, a lot of things have to be "right" for that to happen.

Looks like a clean truck. $1000 is a fair price too

I'd buy it just for the fact it's a short-bed, "hate" longbeds and up here, 2x4 is useless........
And if the short bed still has the original steel at the wheel openings, IT is worth it.

Looks pretty solid and unmolested. At $1,000.... I would buy it just to "shelf it" ! As far as running goes with the I6....If You get fuel, air and spark....You got run ! I personally wouldn't hesitate. Take a grand in cash and flash 8 of those 10 100 dollar bills at the seller. Money talks, BS walks.
