Chrome Mirror Caps

Does anyone know if the Chrome Caps can be removed from the Mirrors. I am having my Grille Painted to match the Truck's Paint, and would like to do the Mirror caps while they have the paint mixed. TNX

Pretty sure they come off, but don't ask me how. I know I looked up getting the plain black ones at one point on the Tousley website.
