jaygee15's 73 f100 : questions on restoring

As stated i Have a 73 f100, with a 390. We're about to get started on doing tA mild restoration, and i have a few questions.

I believe the rear end is not posi track or Truetrac, I was wondering if I can convert it and what it would take to do so.

I have most the interior parts, although not in great condition. Has anyone purchased from LMC trucks, are they good quality parts, or would I be better off getting these parts detailed and try and restore.

Here's a couple pics of my truck.

nice truck and welcome ,your better off going with Denise carpenter,or Bronco graveyard, others will chime in,,,,sometimes lmc might be your only choice, but they are the last

If you're after originality NOS is the way to go. Post what you need and we have the capability to look up the part numbers and check Ford dealer and obsolete parts supplier's inventories to see if any are still available.
I also have a '73 F100 Explorer undergoing a frame off restoration. I'm in the sixth year of a five year project .
I agree with Lafermedave, sometimes LMC is the only choice but make them your last choice. Their quality is sometimes questionable or "iffy".

Great, as we get a parts list made I'll post here. We will be getting started soon and pulling engine.

Go this post and scroll down to the Parts/Vendors section: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post14955960

You should really read this post if embarking on a project... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...p-by-step.html

I know enthusiasm is high but it would be good to start with a comprehensive build plan so you understand in terms of dollars and cents what kind of costs will be incurred... that way there are few "surprises".

Here is a plethora of how-tos from all over FTE and the web... all in one place: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post14955940

Awesome, thanks allot for the links, they will help. I do have a General build plan and getting a detailed build price put together right now. Plus my good friend is helping me with the project. He's doing the engine rebuild and allot of the build with Me and he has built many cars.

As far as tire size for those wheels, 275/ 60,s would look good. That truck looks awesome. Good job.

I picked up a 74 f100 a few years ago. My work is slow and nothing like like your professional work. If you want great insight check the "MikeOoOoO" rebuild thread on his 73. That guy is awesome.
