Was it the original head, what was wrong, and if a replacement, what was it's history?

Seems like you'll have to start with compression test, leakdown test, and check plugs to isolate.

That gets old quick working on pulling a head inside the truck multiple times.

motor has like 50k on it, spit out a plug a month ago, I chased the threads and installed a new plug, knocked real hard because dumb me didn't remove the piece of metel that was still in the cylinder(thought I had gotten all) anyway it caused antifreeze to seep into that cylinder, I believed the head to be bad so I bought a new one from clear water heads in florida.... changed the head truck runs mint but have the water in the exaust, tons of white smoke.. and I good amount of water in the oil after changing the oil a couple times, like just as soon as I crack the drain plug water comes pissing out

Seems like you must go through the entire motor with a compression test, all cylinders.

That plug spitting out is new to me. What do you feel triggered that?

Did you perhaps put the head gasket on upside down?
