2009 v10 f250 4x4 crew

hey guys, Im looking at a 2009 crew cab f250 short bed 4x4 with 125000.00 miles on it theyre asking 18895 for it which seems a bit high to me I can get a 2013 4x4 6.2 for 21k. but I was wondering what yall thought about a v10 with that amount of mileage on it. truck looks like its in good shape overall and has a clean carfax which I never know if iwant to believe that or not. and what do you think a reasonable price on one like this would be. thanks!

Probably comes down to personal preference between the trucks? I personally like the 08-10 body style better than the 11+, but I do like the fact that the newer ones were available with ventilated seats, sure wish mine had that option... I'm also a pretty big fan of the V10, and have zero experience with the 6.2L, so I can't really weigh in on that debate. As for pricing, in my experience it varies greatly by region/location. Around here in the PNW, you can easily find a $3-5k swing in the exact same truck by just travelling 200 miles... For reference, I paid ~$21k for my '08 Lariat with 108k back in January and felt it was good deal based on the local market.

thanks for your input!! I think its a little high in my opinion. if it was setting below a 100k I think I wouldn't have a problem going with it. but I think I may pass on this one and keep looking.

Any service records? Plugs should have been changed by now, trans fluid done a few times, fuel filter changed a few times as wel. What gears does it have? What trim package is it?

All these things factor into the value of a used vehicle.

I love the V10 but would go for something a little newer. 2011+ Brakes and trans are better, power wise I thinks it's a wash.

price comparing with out trim info and options is a guess......there's a lot of info on options actually installed on the vin window sticker so always get that when you do a side by side....

I've never had a 3 valve v10, all mine have been 2 Valves. But I have driven the 6.2 quite a bit and would say it's more than capable of doing what the v10 is capable of doing. I like the 2011 and up changes on the interior. They're all minor things but I like the changes. I would buy the 2011 if i can justify the cost difference at purchase.
