Quick, dumb question

I'll delete this thread after I get the answer, but here goes....I have no idea how to turn on the emergency flashers on my 87 f250. Where is the switch located?? For what it's worth, the clamshell cover on my column is missing.

Can I get a picture? Keep in mind my truck has been pieced together over the years, so it might not be there.....are OBS same as brick noses as far as dash goes?

Yeah, I tried google and get a lot of stuff on replacing the flasher on the fuse cluster, but nothing on the actual button itself. I figured it might be on top of the column....the junk yard has about 20 trucks and they are all either tilt-column or the column has been removed, so I have no source for parts at the moment. I'm still working on getting the column cover.

Mustang column....I seem to remember a small notch in the same area on mine as where the mustang flasher button is. I'll check it out when I get home tonight.

My key buzzer also goes off constantly whenever I bump the column with the door open, so this could be a 2-for1 deal. Oh boy!

the tilt column uses the same blinker switch as the non tilt.
87-91 columns are all the same. if you find a tilt column in good shape you can put it in your truck, they bolt rite in.

That's some good info to have. There are a bunch of tilt columns at the junk yard, no straight columns. Might pick up a spare for if/when my bearing goes out.

On a side note, I went to pull the steering wheel last night, like I've done many times before, and the cheap bolt that came with the tool I rented snapped flush in the hole in my steering wheel. No way to pull it now without extracting the screw....
