Hey guys I have a 460 monster wondering what kind of power it has. I bought the motor from a guy he apparently says it's got 500 hp. It's got high comp pistons, heads are stock heads but ported, And bigger valves for the MASSIVE cam it has. It's got a edlebrock intake and Holley 600 ( need to be jetted or 750 ). It's also got headers and a mad ignition. What do you guys think

 

Uhh, zero horse power. We know nothing about the cam, what size valves were put in, type of headers, ignition, which Edelbrock intake, etc. What is a "mad" ignition anyways?

 

The guy who sold it to you--did he give you a list of parts, receipts, and other build specs?

First off,,, no way he's building 500 hp with a Holley 600 sitting on top of a 460.... A 600 might run on it, but it will be starving for air. A 1970 429PI 370hp engine used 750 cfm carbs
