What a great way to spend a Holiday working on a truck
Yesterday I lost the serpentine belt. I thought it was the power steering pump. That was only half right. As I put the new belt on " smog pump has been deleted" the Alt, the hole bracket moves forward and back . there only 1 bolt holding it , the top bolt in the head is broken in the head , mid bolt is there and there's a hole for a bolt on the bottom at the block.
I stopped working on it for now . I started looking for a after market alt bracket. there's no need for the OEM Alt smog bracket anymore .
does anyone have a clue if there's one out there or where I can snag one . I found this

My smog/alt bracket is one piece and all I did was not install the smog pump. Which meant I had to use a different serp belt. Is there any way to install the bolts and/or studs?
As for using the aftermarket stuff, I doubt it'll work. You could head to the junkyward and see if you can source some brackets from an older engine and simply reuse your newer alternator. Maybe verify that you have a 3G alternator (Has a battery lug on the back).
My Belt notes for 4.9L without AC using the factory Aluminum bracket:
NAPA 25-060825
Outside Circumference: 2108.2 mm,83 in
Top Width: 21.34 mm,0.84 in
Ribs: 6 mm,6 in
-Applications:
Jeep Wrangler 2007-2010 All Engines - No AC
Jeep Grand Cherokee 2009-2010 5.7L-V8
Jeep Commander 2009 5.7L-V8
