so there i was. walking out to my Ex on my way to work just to find a puddle underneath my truck. i have had no problems and no tale tale signs of anything going wrong engine wise up to this point. i open the hood to find the entire front half of the engine coated in oil. i unscrew the top to the coolant res. and it is empty. my first thought was head gaskets and the 5k i would have to shell out for it. but could this be the oil cooler by chance? or possibly anything else? i refilled the coolant and when i got back home from work today it was empty again.
Sorry to hear this! This really needs to be moved over to the 6.0 forums. I'm sure the mods will move over.
What I find interesting is that with no useful info of any kind, OTHER than, Today I realized that my truck puked it's guts out into the parking lot !!
deltas have been fluctuating between 7 and 19 degrees when i got off the freeway from work ECT was at 217.4 and EOT 211.0
when i was ideling in traffic my EOT was at 190 and ECT jumped to 209
not sure if there was oil in the water it was just a big mess on the ground. when i pulled the dip stick there was not discoloration to the oil as of yet.
Agreed. You are running way too hot for just interstate. And those deltas are way out of the window for normal cruising with no big hills or heavy loads.
