80 F100 seat swap

Have an 80 F100 standard cab with a full bench I would like to swap it with something like a split with a center console and maybe bucket like on the sides. any one suggest years and trucks that I might look for? With out Modding what I have now bolt wise. Appreciate the Info.

Anything up to 96 will bolt right in without modding.

The standard cab floor pan is different than the floor pans of the Bronco and crew-cab trucks, which had the seats with arm rests or buckets. So they won't bolt into a standard cab, although people have done it with washers and other "adaptations".

However, in the mid-90's Ford used a base that bolts to the standard cab's floor pan and accepts the buckets. My photo album on Dad's Seats, Console, & Mounts shows pics of the base, seats, etc that I'm going to put in Dad's truck. So, check it out to see what you are looking for and then head to the salvage. But, get the buckets that go with the base, as there are at least two different sets of tracks and they don't easily interchange so it is best to get a set. And, if I had it to do over again I'd get the low-backed buckets.

(Why don't we have this as a sticky? Or do we? I just answered this same question via text for another member.)

Edit: I changed "extended-cab" to "crew-cab". My mistake.

Gary, I have a 1985 bench seat from an extended cab in my 1984 single cab. So I believe different cabs may have gotten different floor pans.

I used to have a rear bech seat with a foldable center console from a 1989 crew cab as well.

The rear seats have a different mount, and I don't know anything about them. Is your 1985 seat from an extended cab from the front or rear?

Actually, the rear crew cab mounts are the same, I made no modification to put the rear bench in the regular cab.

The extended cab front bench is also the same as a regular cab.

Alan - Thanks for catching my mistake. I meant the rear seat of a crew and not an extended-cab truck. I edited my previous post to correct that mistake. Thanks again.

For a reg cab truck you would want a 40/20/40 from a 94-96(and 97 HD F250/F350) reg cab or crewcab.

Supercab seats will NOT bolt not a reg cab

Also the rear seat from a crewcab will bolt right in place of a front bench seat
