I have a 90 F150 REGULAR cab. It currently has a solid bench seat with fold down armrest in the middle. (Not the type with the console, strictly a fold down armrest.)
I know the standard answer that in general 80-96 will bolt in, but I';m wondering specifics -- will an EXTENDED cab or CREW cab bench or 40-20-40 split bench seat bolt in? Will I need to change tracks or drill holes? (Not interested in buckets, just solid or split bench.)
Yes I have swapped from crews (front seat) Bronco and Trucks with no major problems. The buckets with a jumperseat instead of a console are pricey. I Have only seen them in reg cab pickups.and 1 bronco. Good luck If you find a good price on any buckets at all please post someone is always looking for seats.
Extended cab and regular cab 40-20-40 seats have different brackets. This is to allow for the seat to slide forward for rear seat access in an extended cab. I don't know why they wouldn't both bolt in though as straight benches swap right over. I do know there are center holes on the extended cab version. And yes, they are very pricey.
Thanks guys. I have a line on a RED seat for mine that I haven't seen pics of, it's just been described as "big and plushy with a center console that folds down" and it's out of an extended cab -- so it has me curious.
you will have to drill few holes its not bad. make sure you get the floor mounted seatbelts with it. They stand up on own so you can work seats and not gave to dig for belts every time.
