4R70W Cooler Line Fittings?

Any idea if the 4R70W cooler in and out lines have something akin to "standard" fittings such as SAE, JIC etc etc? I'd like to use Mark K's flush method but instead of clamping hoses to existing lines would rather fab up something not likely to pull loose or leak during the operation.

I ask mainly because might end up doing this by myself in the driveway---would feel better knowing I had secure connections.

TIA

You are overthinking this procedure.
Cooler line hose and a good clamp are all that is needed.

Yes I'm sure to some I'm overthinking this-------oddly enough those are the one's who won't be involved in cleaning up any messes incurred----correct?

Indulge me anyway if only to satisfy my thirst for knowledge........

Cooler lines have a flared end. Once the proper hose is placed on it the clamp is placed behind the flare.

If installed properly it is impossible to blow off or out.

There is not a bazillion pounds of pressure and will not result in a movie type oil well gusher.

You will probably get more fluid splashed about refilling the transmission.

Yes Stuart1 I'm aware of the nature of the fittings we're discussing.

It's simply my preference to do it one way as opposed to another. So my question remains is there a type of fitting I can use for my own reasons that can be used instead of hose-clamped-over-flared tube ends.

Yes by all means.

Go to a ford parts department and order the fittings then make a hard line.

Use either copper or steel tubing.
