2010 Ford Focus rear drum brakes

Needless to say, I'm having an issue with these buggers. My issue is I can't get the drum off. The drum has a wheel bearing in it and the assembly slides onto a spindle and is locked in place with a spindle nut.

After removing the spindle nut (30mm) the drum should slide off the spindle, but it won't budge. The brakes are not engaged, the ebrake isn't engaged and the drum turns easily.

After watching three different youtube vids and looking at a Haynes book, nothing was mentioned about a grease seal that may get hung up or a locking ring that may hold the drum onto the hub.

Any ideas or personal experience?
