Help!

Well I guess you will see when you pull the HPOP to replace the STC, if it did blow apart it will be obvious but the fact that the IPR had a pushed in screen tells a story as well.

My feeling has been it is the IPR valve but you really should replace the STC regardless if it has failed or not and when you remove the HPOP to replace the STC fitting you will know if it failed as it will just pull apart. As far as the IPR goes some times you can remove the screen and push the plunger down with something ( just be careful not to score the bore or plunger ) and flush it really good with carb cleaner and install new orings and screen and reinstall it, you may get lucky and it will still work.

Plus there was physical damage to IPR
They don't usually run with a blown STC FITTING

It doesn't run. It won't build ICP pressure at all. It also happened suddenly in traffic which made me believe something ruptured.

STC looked good, even though I am replacing it. I ordered the ICP test fitting yesterday so if the new IPR and fitting kit don't take care of the leak, I'll have that to troubleshoot further when it gets here. I do have faith that the problem lies in the IPR, good thing a new one will be here tomorrow.

It's alive!!!!
Installed the STC kit, new IPR and reassembled the engine in about 2 hours, and then with fingers crossed I cranked it. She sprung to life about 30 seconds later and runs better than ever.....and then the alternator died.
You guys rock.
If any of you are ever in the "Northern Neck" area of Virginia, visit VFW post 10574 in Colonial Beach. I'm the post commander there and will buy many beers for all of the good advice given here.
Thank you again.
