Shifter linkage loose

Hello all, I have '03 250 Super Duty 6.8 V10. Recently the shifter linkage has gotten loose. I checked the torx bolts under the dash and they are tight. When I looked under the truck at the connection to the transmission I saw a black plastic piece at the end of the cable. The piece that is in the center of the black piece slides back and forth, but Im sure it is suppose to be stationary. Both pieces have small grooves in them , and I feel like it should lock down. My question is what locks the pieces together? I havn"t been able to find any diagrams or pictures that show the end of the cable. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Hey bud,

Theres a white clip that slides up and down that locks it together. A new cable is cheap through Amazon.

Thanks. I poked around some more last night and figured it out. Didn't want to break the clip messing with it.
