Show Your Truck W/ Bumper Pull Camper Here....

Not really, the Rover is rated for 7,771 lbs towing and on her own weighs 6,100 lbs so well within limits but challenged on long grades up and down. She would be in 3rd or 4th at 3,500 RPM (6 speed tranny with stock cooler) 45 MPH. Going down you had to keep her in 3rd or 4th so she wouldn't pick up too much speed causing over use of brakes. I appreciate the exhaust brake as the most valuable option on the F350.

Finally got a pic of truck and popup together
Spent the winter and half the spring getting the 15 year old popup ready for camping season. New bearings, tires, battery mount, twin propane bracket, water pump, and upgrades to the interior has her ready to go. Today we took her on a shake down cruise and she pulled like a dream. First trip of the year happens in two weeks. Can't wait.

Lol and thanks! By far the lightest camper I ever pulled. Wife and I love it. I am guessing in a few years we will pick up a travel trailer. For now we are really happy with this little pup.

Some pics from my trip; 2,642 miles round trip. From Louisville, KY to Tucumcari, NM and back in 9 days. Much of the trip on old US 66.
The first pic is the camper and truck on Old US 66 and then in the second pic at Ute Reservoir near Tucumcari, NM. The second to last last pic is the camper actually on the original section of US 66 only 9' wide built in 1922 near Miami (pronounced my-am-uh), OK. Notice the original curbs still intact! The last pic is the Round Barn and Glass Boy Studios in Arcadia, OK (reflected).
I recommend a trip on Historic US 66. Still lots to see. Last pic, the Round Barn in the background and Glass Boy Studios (he focuses on making new neon signs along US 66 to keep it interesting; love his business model!) in the foreground in Arcadia, OK.

What were the wind conditions like? If it wasn't the wind, it was probably the cell phone that could not be ignored.

Little to no wind. The troppers where there I didn't see any civilians shook up or injured. Traffic was just starting to back up. Probably got distracted some how. There's no way he came from the other side no tracks and to far of a drop. It was just Strang the way it facing and perfect driving conditions.
