Question Pocket below Exhaust Brake switch & lighter socket

2015 F350 King Ranch diesel dually. I removed the pocket that sits just below the panel with the Exhaust Brake switch and cigarette lighter socket and found a cable plugged into a blank socket on the back of the pocket. This is obviously for an option I do not have - anyone know what the option is and what voltage is on the 2-pin plug?

I'm looking for a place to mount 12V Anderson power poles so I can ditch the large ugly protruding cigarette lighter plugs.

I also need to know how to remove the panel with the Exhaust Brake switch and cigarette lighter socket. There is a 1/2" slot on the bottom edge that looks like a pry-point but I want to make sure before I try.

Thanks!
Dick

That mystery pocket is used on standard and extended cab trucks for the passenger airbag deactivation switch, Ford apparently uses the same harness for all trucks.

Thanks Chad ... I'll check that portion of my manual.

Any idea how to remove the panel right above it with the Exhaust Brake switch and cigarette lighter socket?

I want to tap into the lighter socket to power some Anderson power pole connectors that I will mount in that unused pocket.

It's simple. The little panel with the exhaust brake and the matching one on the other side pop out using a small screwdriver, you'll see a little slot to insert it into and pry. Remove the screw behind each and the whole bezel complete with climate controls pulls straight off.

Yes, I noticed the slot and pried gently but wanted to confirm with someone who knew for sure before I pried harder.

Thanks!
