Shaved handles and Electric door poppers?

I was just curious if anyways has Shaved their handles and installed door poppers. If so could you offer any tips or advice on which parts you used or how you did your install. Thanks in Advance!

As far as shaving, no (never trust something electronic that will ultimately keep you from accessing your vehicle....cause it will!) I am currently looking into installing the electric door locks that does come with two remotes. Found one on ebay that looks promising. Would like to see what others have done before I jump into this.

Yea i had a concern about battery failure and not being able to get in but they have hide-a-way buttons for instances like that but i am interested to see if anybody has done electric locks also.

I put in a cheap remote power lock kit 4 years ago. It was $45. Very easy install, I used the factory power lock solenoid locations. I haven't used my door key since, and I don't miss it!

Solenoid inside of door. Pic is sideways. Nice bug too!

China-brand lock kit.

I'm in Canada and I got it at Princess Auto. Power Fist is their cheap house brand. I presume this same kit would be available under many different brand names. I've installed 3 of these things and they have all worked perfectly.

Not to hijack, but did you install them on trucks without factory power locks? If so got any picks of them? Thanks

My truck did not have factory power locks, I just installed the kit with the actuators and key-fobs. All trucks have the mounting location for the factory solenoid though, it's held on by one rivet. I used that same hole, plus I had to drill one more for the solenoid from the kit. The kit does not have a rocker switch on the door for lock and unlock from the inside.

Here's a pic of the factory solenoid and harness, and a pic of the kit that I installed in another vehicle.

pic is sideways...
