Dome Light

My 64 doesn't have a dome light.

I bought one off ebay. The power wire is there.

How is it grounded? I don't see a ground wire or a hole to put a ground wire.

Same dome lamp (body & socket w/wiring, lens w/bezel): 1964/66 F100/1100 - 1964/69 N/NT500/1000 - 1967/69 F800/1000.

The lens w/bezel (it's a one piece assembly) itself is also the same as 1967/72 F100/750.

Henry had nothing to do with it, as he died in 1947.

Here's a pic of the whole enchilada:

The lamp/socket base has a wire that screws to the back of the cab. The lens and socket base are floating on the head-liner (on mine anyway) and so you have one short wire to the switch with a male plug and the other short wire has a ring terminal you use a screw with. The truck body as all ground.

Or Earth if you are in the UK...

The single wire sounds to me like the C7TZ-13786-A housing rather than the C4TZ-13786-A housing with two wires.

Check out this eBay auction - on the one you bought see if the black wire has a Ford number on it and let us know what it reads if there is any there.

Sure, as long as you use the correct bulb since the later single wire style has a single prong bulb base while the earlier style has a two pronged bulb base. I gather that is why they used different bulbs in them. 1004 versus 1005 or somesuch.
