2000 f350 v10 alternator issues

Hey guys I'm new into ford trucks I put an alternator on about two months ago and now the new one is gone just wondering if there's something to check or replace to make it stop going threw alternators.

Welcome to FTE.

Have your battery checked. Make sure it is in good shape.

Check all your wiring for signs of corrosion or wear. Especially on battery cables, replace any cable that is corroded. The corrosion you can see is just the tip of the iceberg.

If the alternator you purchased was a rebuilt, it also doesn't surprise me that it failed after 2 months. Rebuild alternators and starters rebuilt in Asian countries are mostly junk these days. A few years ago I had 3 alternator in a row DOA out of the box. After the first I started having the parts store test them before I walked out.
