Wheel Size/Compatibility?

So I've been trying to figure out the cheapest route to get a couple of rims to mount winter tires on and replace the rusted up spare wheel.
From what i can tell, F Series super duty wheels won't fit.
I just put one of my old Ram 3500 unit bearings in the spare and it seems to fit perfect....
So this leads me to think a newer Dodge/Cheby wheel will work???? Maybe even a 17"?

Any advice or comments would help greatly.

Thxs

My Dodge was an 06.
I put H2 wheels on it. (The center needed to be opened a bit)
I'd like to just pick up a couple of stock Ford rims but MAN the prices people want for them are crazy!

Have you tried a Pick-n-Pull yard??

The one by me charges $12.95 for a tire and rim, any size, out the door.

They even knock off most of the lug nuts and leave only one on for "easy removal" You just need to bring your own jack. I've seen nearly new tires being rolled out of that place.

Cross checking, you should be looking for van wheels from '07-'10. Size: 16x7; Bolt Pattern Dia: 6.5; 8 Lugs

I just stumbled upon a junk yard last week. Its the only one I know of within 75 miles of me and I didn't have time to stop in but I will.

Made it to the salvage yard.
They basically just look at the computer system to see what they or their other site has.
One rim available to be shipped in @$65....
They don't seem to get the idea of other rims cross matching so that was a no-go.

Don't get discouraged from a bad experience from One "computer-only" junk yard. Plus, what the price they told you, you can buy a new or re-man rim for that price threw a parts supplier like LKQ. Rockauto sells LKQ parts on line.

Your next step would to be to search the Craigslist in your area, you might find someone parting out or upgrading their wheels and hit a deal for some rims.

One of the big problems you have is the bolt pattern/hub that's on the van, it is like a one only fit, as I posted above, your in the '07-'10 era.

Ot really discouraged...other than its the only junk yard within a reasonable distance....
I saw the rims on Rock Auto. That's prolly what I do.
There is a set of Ram 2500 rims local at a decent price but I don't want to go to 17" wheels.
I just need a couple for snow tires next year and to replace the spare that's in rough shape.

If this is for next year, you have 6 months to look for the rims, unless your in Canada where is starts snowing 3 feet plus the first of August

Lol...yep. just need to try and sand out and paint the one for the spare.
It is low on my list. Need to sort out the interior and get a limited slip in first!

in this part of Ontario (CANADA) we got snow 1st week of Nov. stayed for almost a month, had a green Christmas and an almost green newyears, then frigid for our standards and snow was gone from my yard last weekend. too damn long of a winter for a truck mechanic

now in the territories its a different world , ice ,snow, gold, diamonds, oil.......good with the bad
