Turbo clamps
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...bo-clamps.html
Sorry, posted this on wrong forum.
Have to do with closing the gap between turbo and collector flanges. Clamp bolt too short (original) and bolt too short to be able to start nut to tighten
clamp.
Thought of using ratchet strap to close the gap and therefore hopefully get the bolt to protrude through enough to be able to start the nut on the T bolt.

If there is a gap between the turbo flange and the baby's butt, most likely the alignment dowel is not fitting into the hole properly. Gotta wiggle it around til it seats.
Did you replace the up pipe gaskets? Leave those loose to allow more freedom of motion to line up the collector. Then tighten those down. Careful not to wrench on them too hard.

Thanks y'all. Loosening the up pipes at the manifold did the trick.
Had to find and replace the X tube in front of the turbo due to cracked one (due to "friend" telling me that the one that came with the truck (looked like plumbers strap with V fittings) was wrong type. Went to Ford stealer and bought what they said was correct p/n and installed it with "friend" who is a pretty good mech. Well, later checking after oil misting out of turbo decided to tighten the Ford wrong clamp.
Due to mis-alignment of clamp and being wrong one, I cracked the flange on the X pipe manifold/duct.
Luckily found one at dismantler in Wilmington and drove to get it. $86 and day saved. Better than $359 + shipping from Clay. No bad rap on RR, just gotta save where I can. RR is a great resource and their shipping etc is top notch. Can't beat 2 day to CA fro OR.
Big green is on the road again.
