Problem is whatever you do to the exhaust you will have to undo to pass your state inspection. Unless they don't inspect emmissions. if you replace only the DPF and install a tuner then the reversal will take only an hour or so. once you've done it it's pretty easy. If you start taking other parts of the exhaust off then you make it much harder. I am not deleted but was with my 6.4 and this truck doesn't look much different. Trust me, if you get the DPF out of the way you will have all the power and noise you want.

Outlawed seems to be the way to go but I don't want any trouble either

Just do it! You will LOVE IT!. Just keep everything and block off and unplug the EGR. That way you only have to put two connector flex pipes, and the DPF on when it's inspection time. I BET. You could even go to one of those cool "Economic" pay places. 15-20 more, but I bet they don't look.

I'm confused about the tranny jack, oh I get it you use the jack to hold the DPF while loosening it. Yeah, that sounds OK. Did mine ( 6.4) by driving up on the blocks I use to change oil. Lay
