So we just got a 2006 Ford Explorer. We were told it did not have heated seats, now it seems the drivers seat is heating up and we cannot find the button to turn it off. Any suggestions?

 

On my '04, the button is on the side of the seat where the seat controls are.

 

Directly in front of the gearshift, down the bottom are 2 butons, one would be drivers seat, one passengers seat, I think they just have a picture of a seat on them. They are fairly large buttons, hard to miss if you have them. This is speaking in terms of where they are located on a 2008.

 

Of course all of this assumes the heated seats were installed from the factory. Do you have an owner's manual for your Explorer? If so, there will be a section that discusses the factory heated seats.

Factory heated seats would not turn on by themselves though unless you performed a remote start with a factory remote start system and the outside temperature is below some temperature. Otherwise they default to OFF.

Thank you all! We found them on the very bottom, front of the seats, where you can't even see them. Seems like an odd place, but whatever. Lol
