1953 Ford f100 rear end

i have been working on a 53 F100 for a couple of years. I have a rebuilt 351 Windsor, i found a 69 9 inch rear end out of a Ranger that fit perfectly. My question is since Im in this deep should i invest in a 4 link rear end and solve the problem of lower shock mount and have a better ride at the same time?

Welcome to FTE Mark!

I can't answer your question but I'm sure someone will be along who can give you advice. This is the best old Ford truck forum on the Internet.

Welcome to FTE
I don't know anything about the 4 link, but the lower shock mount you can get from a 57 -60 F-100 and that will take care of the shock problem.

It depends on your intended use for the truck. If it's going to be nothing but a street cruiser then go for it if you want. If your still plan on using it as a truck then I personally would not go with the 4 link.
