What rear end is this

Hi there guys

I bought this F-100 1955 8 years ago and stowed it away, went under the truck yesterday and found it to have this rear end, the plan was to do a C4 swap, but it might change

But can you help me identify what rear end this is, or how to do it

Welcome to FTE. You missed the "Clutch..trans...diff..." forum.

That appears to be a pre 1966 9" Ford. Note the shock mounts left to dangle. 9ers didn't appear until '57 but were easy to retrofit.

This site will tell you much of what is known about the 9 inch.
