Which Leaf Replacements for F350 2wd?
I carried a decently heavy load in the bed today, and it's obvious that I need new leafs.
My truck is a 1994 F350 single rear wheel, with factory overload springs.
I've heard about people replacing the stock rear springs with Super Duty leafs, but is that an option for me? Or relegated to 4 wheel drive vehicles?

the problem I foresee about super duty springs, is that they will push up my rear end a good inch or two, giving the truck a more aggressive rake. I can't just lift the front end of a two wheel drive truck so easy

I have SD rear springs in my F350, though it is a 4x4. It did not raise the rear end up in my case. The ride is a bit smoother out back.
I also have air bags, which are great for helping to stabilize heavy loads. If you do go with air bags, make sure you follow the air pressure guidelines. The last thing you want to do is use them to increase your capacity by over pressurizing them. That can lead to frame bending. The PO did just that, and both top mounts broke and got shoved into the bottom of the bed...
There is also a coil spring thing that you bolt to your existing leaf springs which is supposed to work really well. They are made by roadmaster. They have the added benefit of keeping load points spread across the frame just like the leafs do, as opposed to the air bags.

Is it everyone once in a while that you carry heavy loads or do you have a constant weight on the back at all times?

It sounds like you have some worn out springs. Bags would definitely be a good idea but not if the springs are shot. Fix the problem and than supplement the suspension with some air if thats the route you want to go.
I can definitely help you out with replacement leaf springs, shackles, Ubolts bolts, etc....... that's all we do. Send me a PM or give me a call, we will hook you up.
