I'm looking for bumper and bracket for my 66 flareside....looking for the smooth type.. Can anyone tell me if they come paintable? And how do the repo fit?

The only bumper available from FoMoCo was painted. Repro parts sellers have Flareside rear bumpers in both chrome and painted versions.

BBAA-17906-A .. Flareside & Uni Rear Bumper-Painted Channel / Reproduced

1948/52 F1/F3 / 1953/72 F100/350 Flaresides / 1961/63 F100/250 Uni's / 1973/77 F250 Flareside 4WD (High Boys).

The bumper fits all of the above but the brackets are specific to certain years and series.

1973/77's use different brackets than 1957/72. 1948/52 & 1953/56 are different again. F100/250's use different brackets than F350's.

2 each) B7C-17787-C Right & B7C-17788-C Left .. Rear Bumper Brackets

1957/72 F100/250 Flaresides / 1957/66 F100/250 with "wrong" Styleside beds / 1961/63 F100/250 Uni's.

 

ND...wondering if you could help me out with this problem... A member here is offering me a bumper and brackets... The bumper looks correct.. But the mounting brackets are spaced over 37" wide... My frame rails are 34".. The gentleman that is offering it to me is not sure of application... could you tell me which truck this might belong to? ( what truck has frame rails separated over 37").. Trying to determine if it's just a simple bracket change..or is the bumper not correct also...

Any help would be appreciated..

37 1/2" = The Flareside bumper (D3TZ-17906-C) is wrong and so are its brackets.

37 1/2" width between the inner frame rails behind the cab:

1973/79 F100 & F250 2WD - 1975/79 F150 - 1977 F250 4WD from serial number Y20,001 (not a High Boy) - 1978/79 F250 4WD
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
33 1/2" width between the inner frame rails behind the cab:

1961/72 F100/250 - 1973/76 F250 4WD - 1977 F250 4WD before serial number Y20,001 (High Boy).
