Timing is not good for this model to come out for Ford. We are look at a world wide economic implosion starting later this year.

That's pure speculation till it happens. It did happen in 2009 and the 2009's rolled anyway. Ford recovered nicely.

With gas staying relatively cheap, trucks and SUVs will continue to sell well...
1. Ford F-Series: 54,370 – Up 16.8 Percent

Even when gas prices go up, I think the F150 will continue to out pace the competition (including the diesel powered offerings).

If it's anywhere near as serious as the conspiracy theorists suggest, we may not be worried about our trucks, but about our meals and shelter.

As we move toward a global government (New World Order), a global economy will accompany it. The US dollar may lose all of its value. Not that it actually has anything real behind it anymore, anyway!

I hope I'm wrong.

Let's keep the conversation related to Ford, and not the upcoming zombie invasion apocalypse class war riots, please.

Shortages? Lots of trucks around here. Our local dealer has 140 2015 f150s.

That title seems more than a little misleading. Ford is a pillar of economic success in the United States. While other businesses were grabbing the government welfare, Ford rejected it.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting stories about this on the web. Here's one that I consider to be more accurate than most: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...gBcvE_qnKDraNw

Backlog of orders!

My truck took 7 weeks to get. There are tons of orders and they started another assembly line to make more of them . my truck sat there for two weeks before they shipped to the dealer. I traded a 2012 F150 Fx4/Larait for the 2015 F150 XLT/FX4 crewcab race red black sport cloth inter. I got the plow set up for a plow. It drives much better than the 2012 F150. A really quiet truck.

Thank you. I like accurate information. This seems to be the case and I enjoyed reading the article. It seems to me that Ford is in it for profit, but does not lose sight of the big picture. I think Henry would be proud.

I greatly enjoyed the book "American Icon", by Bryce G Hoffman. It is a pro Ford book, but it doesn't hide many of the mistakes and missteps along the way during Mulally's tenure at Ford and goes through the recession decisions rather thoroughly.

New F-150 has a problem...... Then the post talks about "economic implosion."

These are two totally unrelated problems. AKA nonsense.

Fuel

So far my truck is doing great with fuel! 75 miles and used 3 .1 gals of gas. Not bad for a new truck with 75 miles on it with mostly town driving. You will not regret buying a 2015 F150 Super Crew! The new cab has a bigger back seat than my nephews 2013 F350 Super Crew. The one big differance is radio and heater controls are closer and very easy to use. It is worth the wait! The engine is a lot quieter and the doors are very tight fitting. It seems to have better power than my 2012 F150 with the same engine and gears.
