People keep telling me my 86 f150 has a computer on it, but i can't find it. I was told to look under the seat on tje driver side and behind the passenger kick panel. Nothng in either spot. Any other locations?

 

Under the dash between the radio and steering column. You should be able to see a bundle of wiring about an 1" diameter coming through the firewall about 8 o'clock from the brake booster and follow it back.

Adding to what BaronVonAutomatic said... the computer is mounted in a vertical position. The outer casing is metal.

 

In the engine bay, look at the driver's side firewall and locate the massive brick of wires back behind the distributor that are going through the firewall into the cab.

The computer is directly on the other side of that up underneath the dash. It's about 5" x 5" x 1" (going from memory).

Can't miss it.

 

I think i found it. Its behind the firewall. I even had some luck repairing my blend door cable while i was in there.
