Ford Should Follow in the Ram Rebel's Footsteps
So what do you really think of the Ram Rebel?

"but aftermarket lifts can affect the manufacturer’s warranty. So Ram decided they’d just build a truck in that type of configuration."
My local Ford dealer has an inventory of lifted built trucks. They send them out to an up fitter and the up fitter assumes the factory warranty for anything that was disturbed and or voided under factory warranty. So, Chad's statement isn't completely accurate.
How many different trucks does Ford really need? Even with combining the FX packages back as an added option there are still some 9 truck variations that can be had.

No, they shouldn't. The Ram Rebel can be had in 2wd configuration. I despise lifted 2wds, they are virtually pointless for anything but looks. That is what is great about the Raptor, it has those great aggressive looks AND can perform. I don't think it would be good for the Raptor to be diminished by having an under performing look alike.
The only thing they should do is maybe make an FX4 Extra Package that gives it a 2inch lift and offroad tires along with the skid plates already on an FX4. They shouldn't make it any special appearances beyond the added functionality of a lift and larger tires.

I'm sure that someone has done the numbers crunching on the plusses and minuses of offering a moderately lifted truck. What was probably uppermost in their minds was weighing how much they'd make on the option against the possible cost of product-liability lawsuits from idiots attempting to drive their basically stock vehicles Baja 500 style. How many videos are there on Youtube of new Raptor drivers trashing their new trucks that way?
