P0143 and P0196 and P0255
Hello my 6.0 friends. My 2003 6.0 suddenly (and all 3 at the same time) started showing wild numbers on the Scangauge. The coolant temp and the engine oil temp and Transmission oil temp began reporting unbelievable numbers, wildly flipping from a believable 190f to 350f to 29f etc. There was no change in the factory gauges, the temp and trans temp showed as normal, in the "happy zone" . There is no change in the way the truck runs or acts. The scan feature of the Scangauge gave the po143, po196, and po255 codes which I did look up here.
My question to you more knowing and experienced guys is would the combination of those three codes at the same time indicate to you a likely problem? Do these Scangauges ever go bad? Daddog

This would have to come from Cheezit or M-Chan for correlation, o2 sensor bank low bank 1 sensor 3, EOT sensor can be swapped with ECT to see if it is just fault of EOT sensor, injection pump HFCM down on the Rail check for Algae or wire connection it could also be that the pump is warring out need fuel pressure test to Verified , do you have the Blue Spring Installed?

I would have the truck scanned on a higher end system than the SGII, especially an 03. The 0143 and 0255 aren't listed in the 6.0 code list and are really gasser codes. The 0196 is for EOT sensor/circuit so check the wiring and/or swap the ECT and EOT sensors to check for a consistent reading since they are identical. Check for temp variance between the two KOEO after an 8 to 12 hr cold soak.

FIXED ITSELF??
Thanks for the information guys. 04Bad ford, did you mean algae Literaly? as in pond scum? Partsman, I have a INNOVA obd2 scanner which I scanned the truck with as you suggested. I showed NO codes. Then when I plugged the scangauge back to the obd, it went back to normal readings. Now it seems to make sense because the "check engine light" never did come on. My guess is that the scangauge had a hiccup. (maybe some "algae" on the connector pins?) It is really good to have you guys to "talk" to. Thanks! daddog
